(Storm)
On October 22, 2020, the Constitutional Tribunal issued a ruling declaring that abortions performed due to severe and irreversible fetal defects or incurable conditions that threaten the fetus's life were unconstitutional. This decision sparked a wave of resistance, resulting in the largest anti-government protests in Poland since 1989. The titular "storm" is a collection of lightning bolt symbols, drawn by hand by the protest participants. The photographs featured in this publication serve as a symbolic testament to the personal commitment of hundreds of thousands of people who took to the streets in solidarity with women affected by the Tribunal's ruling. The book’s cover, inspired by the design of criminal case files, serves as a reminder of the repressive measures taken against those involved in the protests.
